Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Thursday’s session.

Sikko Industries(up 19.35%), Agro Phos(up 4.90%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 4.10%),

Fertilizers(up 3.51%), KRISHANA(up 3.21%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.03%), Aries Agro(up 0.91%),

& Petrochemicals(up 0.57%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 0.19%) and

& Chemicals(up 0.19%) stood among the top gainers.

G S F C(down 2.55%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.35%),

& Fertilizers(down 1.46%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.91%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.67%),

& Fertilizers(down 0.58%), Coromandel International(down 0.53%), National Fertilizer(down 0.33%) and

& Fertilizers(down 0.30%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 287.8 points up at 16929.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1041.47 points at 56857.79.

Bajaj Finance(up 9.68%), Bajaj Finserv(up 9.11%), Tata Steel(up 4.44%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.3%), JSW Steel(up 3.03%), Infosys(up 2.69%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 2.47%), Nestle India(up 2.31%), Wipro(up 2.3%) and Tech Mahindra(up 2.22%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.08%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.45%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.43%), Coal India(down 0.39%), Cipla(down 0.37%), ITC(down 0.15%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.04%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.02%) closed in the red.
