Home Depot, Chevron share gains contribute to Dow's 350-point rally

Buoyed by positive growth for shares of Home Depot and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Tuesday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +1.18% is trading 355 points, or 1.1%, higher, as shares of Home Depot HD, +2.57% and Chevron CVX, +2.61% are contributing about a quarter of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Home Depot’s shares are up $9.52 (3.0%) while those of Chevron have climbed $4.87, or 2.7%, combining for an approximately 95-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.96%, Dow DOW, +2.81%, and Salesforce CRM, +2.98%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.59-point swing.
