Dow climbs 50 points on gains for Salesforce, Walt Disney stocks

Buoyed by positive momentum for shares of Salesforce and Walt Disney, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Thursday afternoon. The Dow was most recently trading 59 points higher (0.2%), as shares of Salesforce and Walt Disney have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Salesforce’s shares are up $5.07 (3.0%) while those of Walt Disney are up $2.10 (1.9%), combining for an approximately 47-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth Walmart and American Express A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
