Microsoft is top performer in Dow as it beats other Big Tech stocks Tuesday

Shares of Microsoft Corp. were rising sharply Tuesday, with its gain making it the best-performing stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average in afternoon trading.

Microsoft was up 2.6%, exceeding the Dow’s 0.1% increase, according to FactSet data, at last check. Microsoft had the biggest gains Tuesday in the portfolio of the Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF, an exchange-traded fund that holds seven megacap companies known as Big Tech.

Shares of the ETF, whose portfolio also includes Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., Amazon.com Inc., Nvidia Corp., Tesla Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc., were up 0.4% in late-afternoon trading Tuesday.
