U.S. stocks were seeing some renewed selling pressure on Wednesday, trading near session lows as the 10-year Treasury yields advanced further, while a slump in shares of McDonald’s Corp. and Starbucks Corp. also weighed on the broader market.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was falling over 290 points, or 0.7%, to trade near its session low of 42,625 as of 11:05 a.m. Eastern time, while the S&P 500 was off 0.5% and the Nasdaq Composite was dropping 0.7%, according to FactSet data.
The Dow has fallen for three straight sessions, on pace for its longest losing streak since Aug. 5. The blue-chip index has been on track for its largest three-day point and percentage decline since Sept. 6, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
