Turkish authorities detained 14 people early Tuesday in connection with an investigation into alleged stock manipulation, sending shares of three companies tumbling to their daily trading limits. Among those detained is former Wall Street trader Isik Okte, according to state-run Anadolu Agency.
Prosecutors allege the suspects, many of whom Anadolu Agency said were executives of listed Investco Holding, “sought to launder illicit gains through market activity.”
